Nurturing Center Is On The Move
There is good news from Lawrence D'Souza, the executive director of The Nurturing Center of Lubbock. The Nurturing Center, which for years has provided support services to mothers facing crisis pregnancies, will soon have a new home.
The new location will be at 3306 66th Street. The Center plans to add an ultrasound machine to visualize the baby in the womb, a very convincing factor of human life at the very early stages of pregnancy. The center is in dire need for funds to obtain a machine.
Lawrence is hopeful the Center can move to the new location by February, but Lawrence says much help is needed to make this happen. The building will need renovation. Help for remodeling -- drywall, plumbing, electrical work and technical wiring for computers-- are just some of the needs. Contributions for supplies and building materials are vital to the project.
